A little off track. . .

The last few days I have been bad. We got a new manager on my team and so I made cinnamon rolls on Monday night for his first day on Tuesday. Well ever since that day I have had a hard time sticking to the clean lifestyle. I have not worked out once yet this week either. I need to get back on track TODAY! I am down 12 pounds and have 18 more to go for my goal. Just got t keep working hard to stay on track.

This is going to be a long road. I have to stay strong and continue on my healthy path. I do well at work but when I get home it has been getting harder and harder. I have to stay strong. No more cheat meals. NO more skipping the exercising.

I WILL SUCCEED. I WILL NOT FAIL!

Been cooking more and more. . . .

Since I have started to eat "clean",  I have been cooking more and more. Mostly to prepare for the week ahead when it comes to breakfast. It is easier to make many different options to breakfast over the weekend than to eat the same thing every morning. Reasoning is because I don't have a lot of time in the morning to make myself the breakfast I want to have. When I am allowed to anything I want for breakfast makes breakfast the favorite meal of the day.

I know many people have a hard time even eating breakfast but with this new lifestyle it is amazing. I make sure I eat breakfast every morning. Which a lot of studies have said that people that eat breakfast in the morning weigh less than those who don't eat breakfast. High School was that way for me. No breakfast at all, no time to have it when you are busy socializing in high school. That is how it was for me though. Plus over the years I have noticed that it is easier to skip my breakfast than my over meals of the day.

Anyways, I cook every night now. Some nights it has been hard to come home from work and working out to cook. But it has been good. Keeps me from sitting on the couch and watching TV.
Now I just need to find some more recipes to see what else I can make than the few 5 I have. I have been browsing for some and there are a lot of clean recipes that take a lot of prep for. I need some with not a lot of prep time or ingredients to help in my quest.

Now that I have been cooking more and more, I have been wanting to learns a lot of new recipes. Not all clean but still recipes that have been handed down from my grandma. Right now I am making Cinnamon rolls from scratch. I am a little excited because I am taking them to work to get the real critics for how well I made them. I may start making cinnamon rolls more and more. It has come to my mind that it is easy to make though time consuming.

If anyone reading this has any clean recipes/dishes that are good, please comment below.

Thanks a bunch!

Update 3/3/2014 - One month in.

It has been one month since I have started the new routine. It has gone well so far. I have not been overwhelmed or exhausted from it. The new schedule works well with work and when Jon is gone at work.

What I do. . .
Diet/new lifestyle: I eat anything I want for breakfast nothing is off limits. Then I eat "clean" for the rest of the day. Meaning nothing processed. It involves a lot of cooking but I am getting good at making up some meals. Plus since I don't buy all the processed food any longer, my grocery bill is smaller. Other than I do have to go shopping more often. I go every weekend. Though it doesn't bother me. I don't spend as much time at the store because I know what I need. Rather than spending 1 to 2 hours making sure I have everything, I only spend about 30 minutes. Natalie sure likes not spending that much time at the store either. :)
Work out Plan: I have an amazing co-worker whose boyfriend who wrote me up a personal work out plan. He just gave me the days but gave me the option to switch them around to meet my schedule. It has worked out well so far. My local community fitness center offers day care for one hour free for members Monday- Thursday. Those days I am able to go and get in any cardio in I need to. I count my indoor soccer games as my free day. But then have a lifting list for 4 days out of the week. Which I can do every lift/strengthening exercise at how with my free weights and resistant bands. I have also tried to do some xtend barre classes when Jon is home. Makes it nice to mix it up.

I have successfully lost about 10 pounds, the health way. I hope to lose the rest by the 4th of July. We shall see. Wish me luck. :)
